- Put the gate motor on manual
Most gate motors use a lever or nob on the front side of the gate motor. Unlock the lever or small door to access the nob. If its the lever pull it out 90 degrees. If its the nob turn it in clockwise direction until its hand tight.
- Check for any obstructions or broken gate wheels
Sometimes the gate motor may stop working due to hitting collisions. Its important to keep the track clean and check gate wheels condition.
- Check remote control battery
If you press your remote control the led must come solid on. If its flashing or not coming on at all try replacing the battery. Am malfunctioning remote can cause the gate motor not to work.
- Check mains power supply
Check if the power to the gate motor did nit trip. Some gate motors are AC operated and the gate motor will stop working. However most gate motors have battery back up to run the motor during mains failure.
- Check gate motor battery voltage
